+ It is true things that lead to the understanding of true things. That is, any solid understanding is grounded and rooted in truth. Truth of logical thought or of scientific evidence can lead us to truthful understandings.
+ Any criticism, has to be rooted in truth of evidence in order to be valid. Some criticisms are very sensational, even compelling, but if not grounded in truth are therefore invalid.
+ Historical things can sometimes be difficult to ascertain, although good research can find reasonable conclusions as to the possible or even likely explanations.
+ As we undertake to understand things, a fair and reasonable approach to the evidence or the logic employed in assessing the evidence is very helpful in seeking an accurate understanding of the subject.
